May 13th, 2008D.C. layovers can suck my a**
I haven’t written here in awhile, as I’ve started blogging for work and contract jobs are coming in at a steady pace, rendering me completely incapable of forming coherent sentences after 12 hours working online.
But right now I’m stuck in goddamn Washington, DC, where I was supposed to have a one hour layover (it’s been a three hour layover), and so I figured, hell, why not, let’s rage on the Internet.
I flew home on Saturday night and Sunday morning surprised my mom for Mother’s Day. It was great fun, but I always forget that a) I hate flying, b) the flights are so damn long and c) layovers in DC always end badly.
But it was good to have you home!!!! 🙂

Yeah, I hear ya. I’m working 3 jobs right now, to deal with the fact that I still don’t have a room mate. Though I got a couple (my personal trainer buddy and his girlfriend) moving in on June 15.
I’m rushing headlong into madness trying to get all my files caught up before I get laid off and work am working myself to death here at the main job because if I succeed in getting everything done right by the end of June, then I’ll walk away with enough money to pay off my credit cards. Sweet.
Providing I live that long, of course. On Sunday, I blew an O-ring in my eye and the laser surgery that I had a couple of years ago ruptured and starting dumping fluid behind the retina again.
Tuesday I was diagnosed on the Big Island at 9:30, an hour and a half later I was 60 miles away in Kona. An hour after that on a plane and two hours after that I was getting lasered all over again.
Still, I get to wear my eye patch for a while and live out my pirate fantasy. I mean, why do you think I have the patch in the first place?
I plan on making a triumphant return to the small screen when I become blissfully unemployed and take the entire month of July off. The first couple of weeks will be spent camping next to oceans or waterfalls, but after that, I’m pure vitriol for your viewing pleasure.
I’d post this on my own site, but I think my Uncle has the url and I don’t want him to know that I am counting the days….46 bitches!

Yes. But not for at least a year. Probably the end of summer 2009, maybe the end of 2009.
