god, i drive too much

I’m doing my taxes for 2006.. or rather, I’m putting together the stuff for the tax guy.

My credit card company has a “download your 2006 year-end spending summary,” so I’m using that to figure out just how much money I spent trying to save my old computer. 🙁

What I’ve found so far?

I spent $1,955.63 on gas. Dear SWEET GOD.

The bad part is that I know it will be worse this year. :((

  1. Okay so you made me curious. I went and pulled what they have listed under gas for my account for the year 2006….. what a bad idea!
Here is my total: $3938.51, i so didn’t want to know that!

  2. I already got my tax return and I didn’t even do that refund loan.

And I get about 35 miles to the gallon.

Of course gas has been over $3 a gallon here for over a year and a half.

  4. I don’t really keep track so much, but I’d say about $200 a month, so that would be about $2400.

What I do know is I paid about 14 grand in federal taxes.

    Fuckers.

  5. I got my refunds back like a month ago. I guesstimated my gas use one day, just out of curiosity. I spend right around the 2k mark. For about a week or so, I was seriously considering trading in my Jeep for something smaller and more fuel efficient.

  7. If it makes you feel any better, I spent almost that much on cigarettes.

    Blech.
