Oh, and my fridge is now broken. Something about a compressor and a short and now the insider has no fridge.

Yep.
This time the guy came to put in the new part that was ordered… turns out they sent him the wrong one. No biggie, la de da, he’ll be back in a few days.
Not fifteen minutes later, my power goes out. Then again. Then again. So, after traipsing up and down the stairs to the basement with the landlord, stating that I swear it’s nothing I have on, etc., etc., we unplug the frig and voila! power stays on.
We call the guy. He comes back. The compressor has a short. Mother of god. The new compressor? Not coming until next Friday.
We’re using a tiny dorm fridge for basics and all the frozen is down in the basement. Lovely.

Don’t worry. Soon there will be so much snow and freezing weather, you can use your deck as a walk in freezer.
See, you should be more optimistic.
