April 24th, 2006exclamation points
I have punctuation issues.
When people send emails that are loaded with exclamation points, it bugs me. They’re like hyperactive bunnies copulating all over the damn page.
What’s even worse is when they’re in work correspondence, and the writer is using them as one would capitalize letters. As in “don’t do it!!!” for “DON’T DO IT…”
I just have no words for how balls-out irritating this is to me.

kind of like how it is when people only type in lowercase letters…

Are you missing the Kat? Wishing she’d come in and claw your eyes out, perhaps?
Yeah. Me too.
Comment by the insider — April 24, 2006 @ 4:58 pm
She’s currently too busy using those claws on the back of a certain Englishman.
!!!!!!!!!!!! Heh. !!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by Grampa — April 24, 2006 @ 5:08 pm
Um.. hehe. Probably.
And I’m seriously debating editing that nonsense with the e-points. Argh.
Jackass.

Worse it when they write contracting words like:
“i luv u&wanna buy u 1 bday pressie”
WTF!?
I know there are worse ones.
Comment by Me, Myself and I — April 24, 2006 @ 5:26 pm
No, Me, nothing is worse than the grammatically challenged cocksuckers over at MySpace.com.
Comment by Grampa — April 24, 2006 @ 5:53 pm
Baby, can you please edit my post and add a “d” to the end of challenged? I must’ve been hanging out with the MySpacers too much lately.
It’s not too much to ask, ’cause you’re always editing my stuff anyway.
Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by Grampa — April 24, 2006 @ 5:55 pm
Me.. yeah, that bugs me too.
G.. baby, I’m going to edit everything you write if you don’t stop using the exclamation points. 😛
Comment by the insider — April 24, 2006 @ 6:28 pm
Yes Dear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by Grampa — April 24, 2006 @ 8:04 pm
Bastard.
You realize you’re never going to get anything ever again, right?
Comment by the insider — April 24, 2006 @ 8:25 pm
I don’t believe that you have that kind of will power.
But, we’ll just have to see.
Comment by Grampa — April 24, 2006 @ 8:45 pm
You do remember that you being upset just turns me on, right.
Note, however, that I have refrained from using any of the dreaded punctuation marks, just in case.
Comment by Grampa — April 24, 2006 @ 8:46 pm
I can if I want to. 😛
And yes, I do realize that—way to refrain, I’d hate to have to injure you.
Comment by the insider — April 24, 2006 @ 8:55 pm
Wow, the two of you either sound like you’re having some serious foreplay or you sound like an old married couple.
Either way, it’s rather amusing.
Big hugs! Oooops, sowwy *blush*
Comment by Shannon — April 25, 2006 @ 9:04 am
Aren’t you glad that English (unlike Spanish) doesn’t use two exclamation points? ¡Dios mio!
Comment by Le Will — April 25, 2006 @ 11:18 am
Shannon, I know it may be painful to think about but, from time to time, old married couples have serious foreplay.
Now think about your parents naked!
Heh.
Comment by Grampa — April 25, 2006 @ 1:15 pm
Oh thanks Shannon… LOL.
Le Will—yes, as a matter of fact, I am, lol. But see it works in that case. 🙂
Grampa don’t be obnoxious. 😛
Comment by the insider — April 25, 2006 @ 2:09 pm
Just doing what I do best, love.

You should see what we can do with a few parentheses and a vat of Jell-O.
Comment by Grampa — April 25, 2006 @ 3:14 pm
You’ll notice he has a highly overactive imagination. 🙂
Comment by the insider — April 25, 2006 @ 3:21 pm
exlamation point!
Comment by Grampa — April 25, 2006 @ 3:22 pm
I am apparently guilty of the exclamation point thing in any email I send to MooCow.
Oh, but not generally, rest assured. Just in the annoying-to-MooCow way, which of course is funny.
And okay, I feel like I just walked in on something I shouldn’t have so I’m gonna just quietly slip out the back before you two even notice that I’m here.
Comment by Thérèse — April 25, 2006 @ 4:23 pm
It’s okay, Therese, she’s an exhibitionist.
Like that time we broke into a church at three in the morning…
Comment by Grampa — April 25, 2006 @ 4:35 pm
Therese—well yeah, when it comes to Moo it’s all good. 🙂 And you didn’t walk into anything, lol, ‘cept a little boredom. 😉
G—keep dreaming baby, keep dreaming.
Comment by the insider — April 25, 2006 @ 4:38 pm
Okay you totally used balls deep in the wrong context here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by Andy — April 25, 2006 @ 4:41 pm
Did not. 😛
Comment by the insider — April 25, 2006 @ 4:49 pm
What’s wrong with dreaming. John Kennedy was a dream. Martin Luther King was a dreamer. Jim Jones was a dreamer.
What did they get?
Okay, so they all got a bullet in the head, but that’s not gonna stop me from dreamin’, dammit.
Comment by Grampa — April 25, 2006 @ 5:07 pm
Fine, fine, live in your mind. Whatever makes you happy.
Comment by the insider — April 25, 2006 @ 5:22 pm
Tell me about the rabbits, George…
Comment by Grampa — April 25, 2006 @ 5:30 pm
They’re furry.
And they have floppy ears.

Comment by the insider — April 26, 2006 @ 9:27 am

Comment by wendykat — April 26, 2006 @ 2:34 pm
Sure, sure… keeping them from tearing him to bits hmm? Uh huh. 😛
And when will we be seeing pictures of the ugly cuteness?
Comment by the insider — April 26, 2006 @ 6:41 pm
Hey, don’t call English that!
Comment by Moocow — April 27, 2006 @ 12:12 am
