February 3rd, 2006IV typing
Short update. My parents got here last night, so now I’ve an IV in one arm that I have to keep straight. My dad is out getting some needed supplies and my mom is on the phone with the airlines trying to book flights for my cats.
My dad explained last night that there is a very real possibility that I won’t get better for 6-12 months. And the truth of the matter is that I can’t take care of myself at all. So I’m going home.
We leave Tuesday. I’ll keep you all updated. Thanks for the well wishes, etc.
wow… 6 to 12… MONTHS?!
wow. so will you still work from home? or no… or… wow.
at least… and this may be cold comfort… but at least you are closer to the land of coconut clad women and exotic fruits.

You just take care of yourself and/or let your parents take care of you. Also, who’s to say you can’t go south for a vacation as soon as you’re feeling even marginally better and up for it…?

Rest up, Insider & get well. The east coast will miss you, but i’m sure that you will not miss the cold of it. keep us posted…..

:O God… however, hope you find youselrf cozy and fine at home with your parents. Just rest and do what the doctors say ( I tend not to pay attention on them lol )

Hey Allie,
I pretty much unplugged from the blogosphere, moved to LA and got back on with my life in the real world (had to be done really). But, hearing about you ill made me pretty sad. I do hope you’re getting better from all of this. Sometimes it helps having medical specialists in the family, huh?
