I have one cat who only pees in the catbox—she poops on the linoleum next to it. I’ve tried everything, and after three years, have just accepted that it will always be this way.

Except, apparently, at Grandma’s house, where yesterday, to all of our great and astonished delight, she pooped in the catbox.

There was cheering.

  1. You know, after 3 weeks of cleaning that cat’s poop, I truly do find this amusing and applaud-worthy. In fact, toast-worthy.

When you return, we will be going to our favorite little place by the water and having a Guinness to the cat who stopped pooping on the floor.

🙂 much love to you 🙂

  8. Hi – Congrats and sympathy in the same post. Silly critters.

I have 10 kitties of various ages – and have had all the troubles mentioned here in your comments AT ONE TIME (OR STILL).

May I suggest PLACE A CARPET (NOT A SPENDY ONE) NEXT TO THE BOX WHERE SHE LIKES TO POO? nOT SURE IF IT WILL HELP BUT, and for that reason the carpet should be disposable. I had one cat that would only do solid business on the carpet – now I have hard wood floors in the entire house… fixed her!! Just a suggestion, but if you change the texture of the space, perhaps the kitty use the box.

Bopped in from AWC – thanks for the giggles.
