11 and 2

Y’know how the delivery people tell you that it will be sometime between blah and blah? In our case, between 8 and 6. And even though you know they won’t be there at 8, you have to be there anyway, just in case?

That sucks. Particularly when you get to work that damn early, and the first message on the machine says, “Hi, we will be delivering in your area between 11 and 2.”

Bum monkeys people, bum monkeys.

  3. It could be worse. You could be told it would be delivered to your home between 8am and 1pm. Take the morning off work to wait for it. Get up early just in case, then wait all day until 1pm. Decide to go into work as it hasn’t come, then find a card when you return home in the evening saying they tried to deliver it at 1.15pm. Then, you need to go and collect it as they won’t redeliver. Yeah… that’s the more annoying!

    Anne… cute. 😛

English… Ugh. That would be worse.

Fortunately, the guys arrived around noon… right on time. And the couch is lovely and the coworker has camped out. 🙂

  5. wait how small of an office do you work in that there isn’t anyone there to receive deliveries but yourself?

  6. There are two of us here. The others work at the main office 50 miles North, and only come down once or twice a month for meetings and labs.

  7. so is it an actual office? or is it a cardboard box you picked up and drew little computors and keyboards on?

  8. Oh ha, ha, ha… 😛

It’s a three room office, lots of windows, upstairs from a barbershop.
