still alive and kicking

The bad thing about hotels is that the walls are awfully thin.

We woke up this morning to the sound of someone else’s shower. It was incredibly loud and honest-to-god the longest shower I have ever heard anyone take. It just kept going. Rolling over, I asked if we should call 911 and say someone had fallen or drowned. After about 30 minutes the water turned off, and satisfied, we went back to sleep.

An hour or so later I got up to take a shower. And there was no water. At all. I attempted to force it to come on, reasoning that I just needed to yank harder. He logically assumed that the hotel had turned it off, and suggested I call the front desk and lo and behold, the water was turned off. Due to the room next to us (of the extended shower) having an overflowed tubÒ€”in turns out that the water in that shower wouldn’t turn off, so finally the guy in there called the hotel and they shut down the water for some of the rooms… ours being one of them.

We’re now situated in another room and I’m busily trying to get some work done. He’s napping, lol. Apparently he hasn’t been getting enough sleep. So sad.

at least you’re not as far from the internet as i was. though, if i were sharing a hotel room i would still not be focused on internet. but to each their own.

  7. I have to agree with ms.mac. I dont know why I do tend to think this way. It is like: ok, I am in a hotel, let’s spend water, do I pay it ? yes, good enough so, go on.

It is like it comes from another river that isnt mind and like the water from the hotels will never come to an end.

    Oofff…too much thinking, you see.
