I am right now teaching my mom how to use eBay—via cellphone.
We are separated by 3000 miles, she has limited Internet knowledge anyway and she’s never even seen eBay before.
Oh. dear. god.
I’ve already started with the vodka.
They sell those tutorial books on Ebay at walmart…..usually in the most obscure place possible…

I stopped using ebay once I saw it became fashionable with wal-mart customers….I have an inferiority complex relating to my white trash upbringing

Um… yeah, she doesn’t go to Wal-Mart.
And she doesn’t exactly want a tutorial, lol. She’s looking at one thing in particular, and when she finds what she wants, she calls me and I do all of the bidding, etc. 🙂
eBay is good Augie. 🙂 I got my Bang and Olufsen headphones for about 100$ off retail on eBay. I love these headphones.

Be kind to moms Who need your help with things that are new to them. we were kind to you when “Everything” was new to you. and it was much harder to be kind when you were a teenager and right in the same house, instead of 3000 miles away!

Michelle… oh no, I adore my mom. We searched eBay while on the phone with each other for about two hours, lol. But in the beginning, it was bad. Very bad.

Hey, dont blame your mom! who on the earth knows how to use ebay ? ok people, dont punch me but…better…who on the earth knows how to bid and get the little price ? ONLY A FEW ONES!
So yes, start with the vodka ( this is a ritual, I know ) but be patient with your mom ( yes, and with your bottle of vodka always next to you lol )

I had to boycott eBay when they sent me an email saying they had to suspend my account for safety reasons. I don’t take kindly to people telling me I’m a terrorist and then not even apologising. But sometimes, honestly, I wish I didn’t have so many principleS.
