September 4th, 2005morning
There was drinking last night. I think I drank an entire bottle of the Goose. My version of a hangover involves waking up at dawn (hello 6 AM, haven’t seen you in awhile), and drinking a bottle of water.
Chief Justice William Rehnquist died last night. The world’s about to get more interesting as President B now has two vacancies to fill. Oy.
Bush also sent 7,000 more troops to New Orleans. 200 New Orleans police have walked off the job and two committed suicide. The Superdome has been evacuated, but the Convention Center hasn’t.
I love the news. One of the best ways to figure out what’s going on around the country, aside from reading every newspaper (or getting each RSS feed), is to check out Slate.com’s A Summary of What’s In the Daily Newspapers. They do one every day.
OK, that’s my soapbox for the morning. Going back to bed now… mainly because if I stayed awake, I’d try to remember what else I did last night. Huh. I recall teaching a friend of mine how to flirt with the waitress, but I think that backfired..? I dunno. I was flirting with the bartender. 🙂

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here.. but how did that whole boiling of those who oppose you and bamboo shoot thing work? You’re VP now? sweet.. see it never hurts to hurt others in your quest for world domination.
Stop drinking all the goose damnit.. i want some too.. and i’ll be damned if you’re going to drink it all.. talk about a damn pig..
lawyers and judges go to hell… just for everyone to know. that includes chief honcho justice people. however.. he didn’t die of a bad soul.. i allow medical discharge for some judges.. he’s one of them.
and as for New orleans.. it’s a fish tank full of dead bodies, poo,pee..ya know, what most lakes consist of. no one will live there for decades now. I’m glad I live far enough from the damn coast I won’t have any problems. Later people!

Of course we want details on the backfiring thing. And I want a hangover now (flirting with the bartender would be a nice bonus).

Nothing like to be drunk to show off all your flirting weapons 😉 was there any luck with the bartender ? 🙂

Angel, I’m sending you a bottle as we speak. (I have one or two I can spare… 😉 ) The bamboo shoots worked well.. the Boss is still insane, but directing that elsewhere. I think it was the yelling that actually did it.. oh well. Oh, and it was a lovely 80 degrees here today.. 😛
LOL.. details on the backfiring? Well, he turned the advice I gave him around on me. 😛 Here I was being a “pal,” giving him excellent pointers, etc., and then it turned out the waitress had a boyfriend. (She didn’t last week, so that was so not my fault.) Unfortunately, he then decided that he would see if I would be amiable to his charms. Sigh. I think I laughed. Ugh. I feel bad now.
And there was no luck with the bartender, but I wasn’t looking for any. 🙂 He’s a nice guy and quite funny, and so I enjoy chatting with him. Anyway, I’m looking to have better luck with someone else entirely…

that slate summary of the news is great. thanks for the link. now if only someone would do the same with the blogs I read, i wouldn’t have to be online two hours a day.
