August 30th, 2005torrential rains
Here’s the most fascinating part about Seattle. While it rains most of the time, that rain is normally light and and spritzy. Since I have moved East, I have experienced the worst torrential rainstorms ever in my lifeรขโฌโthe kind of storms that leave you drenched and the roads flooded. Today is one of those days.
It rained, nay, it poured all. night. long. Couple that with general restlessness, the insider did not get more than five hours of sleep last night. So I am here, at work, at 8:50 AM.
That is so wrong.

Summer storms! They’re the best though, aren’t they?

Well, my car is clean, so that’s a plus.
But it was so loud that sleeping was severely interrupted. Sigh.

I’m sorry, I don’t know what came over me. I think its only because its been so long since we’ve had nice weather I get carried away when it happens.

I hate restlessness. At least you don’t live across from the chickens.

True. Chickens would be stewed. And served to their owners.
Good god, I would die.

i’ve been an east coast girl all my life and i love seattle for it’s drizzlyness (sp?). just sit back and enjoy the rainstorms. i love a long, loud rainstorm. they make you want to go home and curl up. they won’t hurt, try to enjoy them.

I do enjoy them.. but more so when I can stay at home and watch them, and not get wet. ๐
