10-1!

redsoxgame.jpg

For J’s birthday this year, we got her (and us) tickets to a Red Sox game.

So after four years here, I finally popped my Red Sox/Fenway cherry.

hat!.jpgAnd now I am the proud owner of my very own hat. It’s brown, with a baby blue and white B (I’m in the middle). (thanks J!)

did you know qat is an acceptable word?

The Porkchop and I went shopping for packing supplies this weekend (and cat food), and somehow came home with three new games. ๐Ÿ™‚

Travel Scrabble (for the train!), Cribbage (his sisters play, we are all going on vacation this summer together, I must learn) and Scene It Squabble (we haven’t even opened this one yet.. waiting for the people to come over, lol).

Sadly for the Chop, I don’t think he realized that the minute I had a Scrabble board in the house, I would want to play it incessantly. And since he is the only other one there, he’d get elected to play, too.

After three straight nights of three-hour games, the Chop needed a break.

I, of course, did not, and after much staring at the board, decided to bite the bullet and play online, something I have been very hesitant to do.

Why, you ask? Well, mainly ’cause I tend to be a bit obsessive when I find something like that… and I work on my computer all day, so knowing that a wonderful game of Scrabble is just one tab window away from me is my version of crack cocaine.

And right now, I really, really need a hit. ๐Ÿ˜€

Online Scrabble? With other obsessive people who love it and want to play all night?! Sweet lord, where have you BEEN all my life?!

yeah baby

I have found my calling in life.. I am a SUPREME painter.

And it is fun.

Granted, I am only painting walls in houses, but I am very, very good at it.

Also, we got the house.

ah, the goodies Google brings me

Recent Google searches that have recently brought me traffic:

รขโ‚ฌยข refrigerate ketchup: this one is very normal for me, apparently there isn’t a lot of information on if you should or shouldn’t refrigerate ketchup.. I strongly stand by the “do not refrigerate” club. It’s not on the bottle, so don’t do it!
รขโ‚ฌยข definition cherubic: aww, I know I am! But thanks Google! NOW HIRE ME.
    รขโ‚ฌยข brilliant words: well, obviously.
รขโ‚ฌยข how to frost a cupcake: feel free to come back here and post any good and useful information that you find on how to do this… I’m not that good at it.
    รขโ‚ฌยข view on life: it’s an insider’s view, so it’s pretty accurate… I do what I can. ๐Ÿ˜‰
รขโ‚ฌยข foreign foreplay: oooo yeah baby. It involves Guinness and a very adorable Irish bartender who makes the moves on you on a crowded Dublin street.

I really don’t know what to say. I feel… proud and honored. And hehehe.

happy birthday J!

So, somebody I know turned 33 today.

Happy Birthday J!

The Porkchop has a song for you too, but he’s missing his guitar down here in NYC, so is unable to properly serenade you.

Have no fear, when we get home, you will get your song and all your presents.. because lo and behold, the people shipped your Christmas present today, too! I know, I know, SHOCKING. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anywho, happy birthday dear. You don’t look a day over 22. ๐Ÿ™‚

HAPPY 40th Cousin!

Today one of my favorite people turned 40.

FORTY.

Sweet lord, she’s old.

I’d write in large type, but last time she threatened me, lol, so instead, I shall just wish her a very happy birthday. Wish I could be there.. hope you enjoy your present. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s a little musical message from the Porkchop…

And just so you know that we are thinking of you… I found you a stripper.

Fortunately, he doesn’t leap off the screen.

You’re welcome.

watch the monsters

I came across an ingenius blog via dooce… it’s called “Stefan G. Bucher’s Daily Monster” and it contains time-lapse videos of him drawing.

And he’s brilliant.

The most interesting part is that he then encourages the readers to write the story behind the monster he’s drawn each today (he’s highly trafficked on YouTube).

Incredibly intelligent marketing.

ah, the joys of being a nerd

I know I’ve reached the pinnacle of nerdom when I am excited to come to work because I now have three (yeah baby) computers to play with all day long.

My laptop and iMac have now been joined by a PC (because all you people STILL use IE).

I’ve been compressing files on one, checking sites on another and designing a new product on the third. It’s possibly the most fun ever (yes, yes, I know, laugh it up, haha ๐Ÿ˜› ).

squeeze it, swirl it, frost the cupcake!

I am frosting cupcakes.

It is a rather detailed process, and I find that I lack the necessary patience required to painstakingly create beautiful little mounds of frosting.

The worst is that I made four different colors of frosting yesterday, and I must now gently, gently, gently decorate with the rest.

Good thing I didn’t decide to go into baking. I probably would’ve been an alcoholic by now.

Gah.
