out here in the UK you can buy a half loaf of bread. i think it’s very clever. now if only they could learn about dentists and tooth care.

I’m a big fan of bread in the freezer, then you take out a piece when you need it. 😀

There’s a Heinz food processing plant in my Canadian hometown . I used to work there during busy-season when I was a teen-ager .

My mother worked there and retired from the Heinz office after 30 yrs. So , we KNOW ketchup .

To this day , the word , ‘Refrigerate ‘ , is found NOWHERE on their labels !

THAT is what I am talking about!

By: wendykat https://theinsideofmylife.com/2007/07/searching-searching-searching/#comment-62539 Tue, 31 Jul 2007 07:53:27 +0000 http://theinsideofmylife.com/2007/07/30/searching-searching-searching/#comment-62539 ketchup should go in the fridge. anything with a fruit/veggie should go in the fridge. i know that canning and preserving is a means to keep food longer, but once opened, air and bacteria can get in and start to grow. certain foods can hold off longer against the bacteria, but as a general rule, any food made of a previously perishable food item, should be refrigerated. i know some places that serve ketchup, mustard, relish etc don’t keep them cool, but the fact that the turnover on those items is so quick it’s kind of okay. but in homes, where you aren’t going to go through a tub of ketchup in a 8 hours, i’d fridge it.

so there.
