The thing is, he had scheduled a couple of people to come and look at the place this weekend and he doesn’t have a number for them. In other words, he still has to show the place to them. ARGH!

Can’t you phone the more-expensive-dream-place people and tell them that you really really really like this place, but as another flat (…) has replied favourably, could they maybe get their act together and give you an answer pronto? Except marginally more diplomatically?
